The Congregation of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate – taking the name “Pallottines” from their Founder – was founded in 1838 by Saint Vincent Pallotti – is an integral part of the Union of Catholic Apostolate: Priests, Brothers, Sisters and Lay Faithful, committed together to collaborate in the mission of Jesus, the Apostle of the Eternal Father.
United with God and with each other, they express the founding charism, promoting the co-responsibility of all the baptized to revive faith, to rekindle charity in the Church and in the world, and to bring all to unity in Christ.
Nourished by the Word of God and transformed by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, Saint Vincent Pallotti priest, was born and lived in Rome (1795-1850),a Saint of infinite desires.
Still today, Saint Vincent entrusts his daughters with the mandate to give a home, a Christian formation, affection and spiritual and material care to children in difficulty.
The culture, enlightened by the Gospel and warmed by Love, is a privileged means of helping many children and young people to discover and appreciate the light of faith, the joy of being Christians, the grace and the commitment to become apostles.
Faithful to their Founder’s desire, the Sisters carry out their apostolate in Family Homes, in Schools, in Parish churches, in Holiday Homes, through the proclamation of the Gospel, spiritual and liturgical animation, catechesis and pastoral work of welcoming and of vocation promotion, work of welcoming every person who desires to live a spiritual experience of consecrated life.
Today the Pallottine Sisters are present in Italy, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, India and Mozambique: they carry out their apostolate with young people in every field of education and in every form of assistance to children; they give service and loving care to their sick brothers and sisters.
